REVIEW: E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer

For me foundation primer is an absolute must have! I have super oily skin and large pores. A good primer will help to reduce the look of large pores, help fill in lines and wrinkles and keep oil at bay. It will also help your foundation from looking cakey and will create a barrier between your skin and your foundation.
All primes are pretty much used the same way. Use them after you apply moisturizer, allowing a few minutes for your moisturizer to settle into the skin. Keep in mind that a little goes a long way. A pea-sized amount will usually due. Recently I found what I think is one of the best primers for the money...The E.L.F. Mineral Infused Face Primer

The texture of this primer was great, it had that typical silicone-like feel. It filled in pores and fine lines, and made my skin super soft. I am really impressed with the feeling of this primer. I own about 6-7 foundation primers. Some high end and some more budget friendly.

Overall I am pretty happy with the E.L.F. Primer and will buy it again. Its consistency is similar to SmashBox Photo Finish primer or Bare Escentuals Prime Time but at a fraction of the cost. I got mine from the Elf website on Cysber Monday so I paid just $3, but its usually just $6. You can also find it at Target.

Pros: Texture, price, has not caused any breakouts.

Cons: A bit small (.49 fl oz.), but two bottles of these still cost less than any of my other brands.

My Story

Hi guys!

Welcome to my blog!

My name is Saprina. I am a self taught make-up artist and beauty product junkie from California. I love all things beauty related. I am also obsessed with all things DYI.

And I can't leave out Nicholas. My amazingly smart, adorable seven year old son. If you follow me on Instagram or Twitter he floods my time line with his amazingness!

While in college I worked at a department store cosmetics counter. It's there that I fell in love with make-up. I worked in cosmetics for four years and loved every minute of it. After graduation I went on the work full time in nursing and ventured off into the world of freelance make-up. I loved doing freelance work, but due to time I rarely do it anymore. Nursing is what pays the bills but I still love the beauty industry. I have decided to start this little blog as a creative out let for my love of all things beauty related! I hope to venture at some point into the world of youtube, but for now...Welcome to my little blog!

xoxo
